Standard 6 - Communication

This Care Certificate package covers the 15 standards developed by Skills for Care, Health Education England and Skills for Health, for workers who are new to care.

Learning outcomes:

• Understand the importance of effective communication at work
• Understand how to meet the communication and language needs of the individual
• Understand how to promote effective communication
• Understand the principles and practices relating to confidentiality
• Use appropriate verbal and non-verbal communication
• Support the use of appropriate communication aids
