Standard 15 - Infection Control & Prevention

This Care Certificate package covers the 15 standards developed by Skills for Care, Health Education England and Skills for Health, for workers who are new to care.

Learning outcomes:

• Describe the main ways an infection can get into the body
• Demonstrate effective hand hygiene
• Explain how your own health and hygiene might pose a risk
• List common types of PPE
• Explain the principles of safe handling of infected or soiled linen and clinical waste
