Mental Health First Aid Adult Awareness

This course enables individuals to understand Mental Health in adults, giving the introductory knowledge of MHFA to be able to advocate mental health awareness.

By the end of this course, the learner will understand:

• What mental health is and how to overcome the stigma around it
• Basic information on some of the most common mental health issues including depression, psychosis and suicide
• Factors that affect mental health
• How to identify signs of distress in individuals and how to confidently support them
• The quintessential of self-care and how to protect own mental health

After completing this course, along with a digital certificate to declare them Mental Health Aware, individuals will come away with a manual to refer to whenever they may need, ensuring they go forward on their journey in MHFA with confidence and skill. They will also receive a workbook that includes how to look after their own mental health and wellbeing.
