Level 2 Mental Capacity Act incl. DOLS

This course enables individuals who work within health and social care to understand The Mental Capacity Act incl. DOLS. The course is mapped to unit R/615/7254 of the Level 2 Diploma in Care (RQF).

By the end of this course, the learner will understand:

• The importance of the Mental Capacity Act 2005
• The key elements of the Mental Capacity Act 2005
• 'Restraint' as defined in the s6 (4) Mental Capacity Act 2005
•  The importance of complying with the Mental Capacity Act 2005 Code of Practice when working with individuals who lack capacity 

Typical duration: 3 hours

*Courses can be delivered as a standalone session, or 2 in 1 day for a reduced day rate. Standalone session rate £350/course. Reduced day rate for 2 courses in 1 day £300/course.
