Level 2 Infection Control

This course enables individuals who work within health and social care to understand infection control. The course is mapped to unit J/615/7154 of the Level 2 Diploma in Care (RQF) and unit 14 of the Adult Social Care Certificate.

By the end of this course, the learner will understand:

• The spread of infection
• Own and others' roles and responsibilities in the prevention and control of infections 
• Legislation and policies relating to prevention and control of infections
• Systems and procedures relating to the prevention and control of infections
• The importance of risk assessment in relation to the prevention and control of infections
• The importance of using Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in the prevention and control of infections
• The importance of good personal hygiene in the prevention and control of infections 

Typical duration: 3 hours

*Courses can be delivered as a standalone session, or 2 in 1 day for a reduced day rate. Standalone session rate £350/course. Reduced day rate for 2 courses in 1 day £300/course.
