Level 2 Health and Safety

This course enables individuals to understand health and safety. 

The course is mapped to the requirements of the Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974, the Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999. The course also includes mapping to Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) Regulations 2002, Reporting of Injuries, Diseases, and Dangerous Occurrences Regulations (RIDDOR) 2013, Manual Handling Operations Regulations 1992, Food Hygiene (England) Regulations 2006 and Fire Safety Order (Regulatory Reform) 2005.

By the end of this course, the learner will understand:

• Own responsibilities, and the responsibilities of others, relating to health and safety in the work setting
• Common workplace hazards and risks
• Risk assessment
  
• Key safety practices and procedures
• Foster a positive safety culture
• Legal and regulatory awareness
