Safeguarding Adults
This course enables individuals who work within health and social care to meet Standard 10 of the Care Certificate - Safeguarding adults. The Care Certificate is an agreed set of standards that define the knowledge, skills and behaviours expected of specific job roles in the health and social care sectors.
Developed jointly by Skills for Care, Health Education England and Skills for Health. The Care Certificate is made up of the 15 minimum standards that should be covered if you are 'new to care' and should form part of a robust induction programme.
Standard 10 - Safeguarding adults
10.1 Understand the principles of safeguarding adults
10.2 Reduce the likelihood of abuse
10.3 Respond to suspected or disclosed abused
10.4 Protect people from harm and abuse - locally and nationally
Typical duration: 1.5 hours
Delivery: Level 1 courses must be booked as minimum 3 courses in 1 day
All course prices are for groups of up to 12 delegates and include course material and digital certificates valid for three years.
