The course enables trainees to become competent to drive MEWPs safely and in the correct manner. An IPAF PAL card is recognised by HSE, CITB, HAE and the Major Contractors Group (MCG). It also satisfies the Work at Height Regulations 2005 and the PUWER regulations 1998.

Our IPAF Operator courses instruct how to prepare and safely use various types of access platforms, including scissor and boom lifts. You will be trained in the correct operation of the equipment, how to carry out a pre-inspection, emergency descent operations as well as being given an understanding of employers and employees responsibilities.

Hybrid delivery allows for delegates to complete the theory element of the course prior to the practical day via eLearning. A shorter practical day is then arranged for competency sign off. Delegates must pass the theory test, in order to progress to the practical element.
